GeForce NOW adds Firefox support on Windows
Games arrive through the browser
On 20 August 2026, NVIDIA announced Firefox support for GeForce NOW. Its post describes this access among supported Windows browsers, with games running in the cloud.
Moving computation instead of downloads
The browser receives interactive video and sends player input. On a modest computer, this approach can provide access to a demanding game without rendering every frame locally. It also avoids reserving space for a complete installation on that device.
Another supported browser offers a practical benefit to people who already use it. It can reduce access friction, but catalogue eligibility, accounts and device compatibility still need checking.
Test on the usual connection
Quality depends on the entire chain: the local network, the route to the service, video decoding and the display. A useful trial would examine input delay, changes in image clarity and interruptions at the usual playing time. Windows support does not establish that every operating system running Firefox has the same coverage.
